Top 5 Car Accessories for the Colorful Driver

Intro to Car Accessories
Let's face it, car accessories can be quite frightful, maybe not for you, but for others on the road. I still remember the day, I saw a car with the bumper sticker, "If you love something, let it go. If it doesn't come back, hunt it and kill it." Needless to say, I did not tailgate. When a purchase requires thousands of dollars and a large investment over time, it is no wonder why people want to personalize their cars. I have gathered a list of the most ostentatious car accessories that will sure to get you noticed.
1. License Plate Frames. A person's license plate frame can tell one of three things, 1) what dealership/city you bought your car in, 2) what school you are attending/attended, 3) a favorite quote, saying, sports team, and/or character of yours.
- When a car drives slowly around your neighborhood, one quickly looks to the license plate (in this state or out-of-state?), and then to the frame where it could state the city you bought the car in. This person definitely has no idea where the heck he or she is going. Must pass. Consider yourself noticed.
- Went to an IV league, now driving a Toyota? Noticed. Went to a local community college, now driving a Mercedes? Odd.
- In regards to the favorite quote, sports team, saying, and/or character, it really depends here. Think happy, but still normal. Once saw a license plate with, "you think I'm a bitch, you should meet my daughter." Harsh.
2) Flamboyant seat covers. Surprisingly, what you sit on can give others an insight to your taste. Zebra prints, Hello Kitty, hot pink colors, peace signs and so much more...all these patterns give some personality. Drivers will think you a are a die-hard Sanrio fan, a girly girl (or feminine male), a hippie, etc. When choosing a seat cover, think do I really like Hello Kitty that much? If you are a huge fan or love the print, do it! Why not?
3. Interesting Decals. From Darwin's walking fish, boy peeing to memorable quotes, the possibilities are endless. Especially when it is so easy to create your own design via a software and send it to one of the many sign shops out there. Anything you make a decal shows your priorities, sense of humor, and/or preferences-- giving angry drivers a nickname to call you under their breathe. "Effing Team Jacob" better speed the ef up." This also could work the other way, in the sense that a fellow Team Jacober would allow you to cut into their lane over a Team Edward fan. Word of advice, some opinions should be kept under wraps.
4. Laughable or serious bumper stickers. Here are just a few common ones that help people decide what kind of driver you are: Old election stickers (either too proud to remove it, or too stubborn to admit defeat), future election stickers (very hopeful and definitely a pre-planner), baby on board (concerned mother or father), fake bullet holes (good sense of humor), and American flag (patriotic). Bumper stickers are definitely a great way to see what people consider to be important.
5. Car Accessories that Serve No Purpose, Other Than to Let Others Have a Peek Into Your Unique Character. Beanie Babies on the rear deck, Garfield sucked onto the back window, bobble heads of your favorite Jersey Shore peeps bouncing around, prism hanging from the rear window, and Jack's head gripping to the antenna. There are so many pointless things that we put on display in our cars from hobbies to restaurant preferences to decor taste. Just remember every little thing gives drivers insight into your persona, but then again it would be a complete bore to have no car accessories at all.
What would us fellow drivers look at when stopped at the light? And now with the strict no phones while driving laws coming into play, GIVE US SOMETHING TO LOOK AT, PEOPLE!
